Manchester United confident in signing De Jong — they can reduce the price for midfielder Frankie De Jong despite Barcelona’s rejected initial offer.
Manchester United’s starting offer for De Jong was €60m (£51.5m) plus €10m (£8.6m) in bonuses.
Barcelona have responded by saying they want €85m (£73m) for the 25-year-old Dutch national team player.
