Klopp: No thoughts of revenge

Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has said he has no thoughts of revenge for losing the 2018 Champions League final to Real Madrid in Kiev.

Ahead of the trip to Paris, Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has honestly admitted that the final in Kiev, when he ended the game early because of a shoulder injury to Sergio Ramos, was the worst moment of his career.

The 29-year-old Egyptian said the thirst for revenge gave him extra motivation, but Klopp has his own opinion on the matter.

“That was a tough night for us – it was hard to come to terms with what happened. But I don’t believe in revenge and I don’t think revenge is a great idea.

“I understand Moe’s statement – he wants to make things right. But in Germany we have a saying: everything in life meets twice.”

“If we have the opportunity to win this time, great, but what happened in 2018 has nothing to do with it,” says Klopp
